Another bio pic! This is Glaciene! She is the wife of Wulfric, and the mother of Kesuk. And yes! She and Kesuk share a STRONG resemblance. (Obviously) Many in town always tell Kes how much she looks like her mother. Kes keeps the same hairstyle as her mother, except for her ponytail and large, sharp spike tails on each side (Though, Kes styles her hair to have smaller spikes)
If you have read my series, you'd know she sadly passed away after being poisoned by several outsiders. She is the daughter of Frost, and the next Chief in line after him. The scars on her arm and face were given to her when she battled Frost for her right to marry Wulfric. (Frost had betrothed her to another) She is known as "The Porcupine" due to her hair style resembling quills, and her battle style of shooting ice-like quills.
That being said, being able to defeat Frost, she is incredibly strong. She's able to easily hold her own in battle, and isn't one to EVER be messed with. The village was in good hands- thriving, if one had to say. The only downside to being Chief is not being able to spend much time with her daughter, Kesuk. Wulfric handles most of the parenting, and on rare occasion she is available, she'll dedicate it to her family. She also teaches Kesuk many of her battle styles, and how to carve many hilts to make various weapons. She would always cherish the few memories she shared with her family. Also! the little charms she has dangling from her hair are from Wulfric and Kes. The one on the left is made by Wulfric (When they were kids) and the one on the right is made from Kesuk. (Kes' first time carving something from bone. She made something for Glacine. Supposed to be an Arctic Hare. Because she loves the Arctic Hare stew she makes!)
When she was poisoned, the village fell into a panic. Various plants and medicine were used to cure her, but this toxin is not familiar with their kind. It was something they've never dealt with before. A fabled plant at the highest peak of Heaven's Spine may be the cure they're looking for. No one has ever survived climbing it and lived to tell the day, but Wulfric set off immediately, and vowed to return with the plant in hand. The climb lasted 4 weeks. Each day, Glaciene fell weaker and weaker- Frost ended up taking the role of Chief again in her absent.
On a side note: Kesuk hates thinking about the days her mother was sick. Seeing someone she looked up to, someone so strong and powerful. someone who can shoulder the entire village on her shoulders- only for her to become weaker and sicker as each day passed. To the point where she became bedbound and had little strength to even talk. On the final day Glaciene was alive, Kesuk was removed from the room by Frost and held in another area. Kesuk didn't have a chance to say goodbye, and it's something that still haunts her today.
Glaciene lived a short life. One where she wouldn't be able to see her child fully grow, and become a hunter or Chief like herself. She wasn't able to say goodbye to her husband, Wulfic, and in her last breath, she apologizes for the burden she's about to bestow upon him- for she knows Frost will give him her duties of being the next Chief.
