Uh-oh...it looks like someone interrupted the scrabbling duo's fight. Can you guess who? o.o;
I do think the Dark Matter species use negative energy to help them grow, and ultimately, transform into another form. They start out as a weak, insignificant blob and grow if they have enough negative exposure. Of course, this is my own fan theory/headcanon for Dark Matter so please don’t start correcting me. If you’re interested, here’s a little insight on what I think of the species-
Theory #3 The forms of the one called Dark Matter
Dark Matter has the ability to transform into different forms depending on how much negativity they receive/absorb. They feed off the loneliness and miserable thoughts (and feelings) of one. Given enough, they're able to transform to another, more powerful form of Dark Matter. With that being said, Dark Matter can also lose their current form and revert back to their previous one if injured.
For example- Dark Matter in KDL2. Kirby injured his sword form and he reverted back to his previous, weaker form.
They also have the ability to fuse with other creatures. As noted in one of my previous deviations, they’re usually able to do this when said body gives up the will to keep on living. But please note that fusing and simply taking control of a body are two completely different things.
For example- In Amazing Mirror, Dark Matter fused with another creature to create Dark Mind. When Kirby defeated him, it slowly started to revert back to its basic, spherical form.
Controlling a body is different. The best example that shows it would be in Crystal Shards where Dark Matter controlled Waddle Dee, Dedede and Adeleine. If defeated, the Dark Matter will only be effected, not the host. (While a fused body will effect both Dark Matter and the body it fused with. Ex- Dark Mind)
