Well, since I posted Grandy, I might as well post King Dedede as well. I've had a lot of people over the years ask about Dedede, or Bandana Dee and even Magolor. It takes a long time for me, because I want to make sure I've fleshed everything out before adding the Pop Star squad into the series. I worked on Kirby, I worked on Meta Knight, I added Grandy, so I think it's finally time to introduce Dedede. >v<
This is my first time drawing him, so I may end up changing his design a bit. Because I really love his updated design- the chunky "Club Penguin" look. XD But for now, I'm happy how he looks like! 8D
Most of his info is in Grandy's bio, but I'll post some small tidbits below:
Like his father, Dedede has claws, so he won't be wearing gloves often in my series...or at all. oAo Because he's trained with Kes and Meta, he's extraordinary proficient in hand to hand combat, as well as wielding his hammer. He has sustained quite a few battle scars throughout the years of training and fighting demon beasts.
Dedede is very smart, but stupid in his own, idiotic way. Him and Kirby are a bit of goofballs, and they both love the rivalry they share. It could be anything to sparing, swimming, or who can clear the most plates at the local sushi stand.
As a late teenager/young adult, King Dedede does end up meeting his mate after meeting up with a group of migrating Penguins who traveled all the way from Echo's Edge. Kirby...is a terrible wing man, and Gooey had to restrain his other half to stop giving Dedede bad dating advice. Waaaay, far-flung into the future, Dedede is the proud father of twins- one who he named after his Grandmother.
Dedede is able to speak several different languages which includes Chirp, and the language Waddle Dee speak. He's studying hard to learn several more languages just in case it's needed when he's out visiting other territories. Because of his studies, and duties as the King of Dreamland, Kirby and Gooey does most of the patrolling and protecting in Pop Star. Dedede isn't jealous like he once was as a kid, and is really glad to have a comrade like Kirby by his side.
Like Kirby, Dedede has a battle partner/companion. Where Kirby has Gooey, Dedede has Bandana Dee. Bandana Dee is EXTREMELY loyal to his king and will always be there to protect him. Dedede also has a huge platoon of Waddle Dee's by his side, and is deadly protective over them.
I think that's it for now. I'll eventually add more as time goes on. >v< But I hope you like what I have so far.
