Demon Beasts
After being attacked several times by Demon Beasts, Marlo's become terrified of traveling
without Nonsurat by her side. She realizes how fragile her species really is against one,
and will run away if she encounters one. The only time she'll risk her life against one if
Nonsurat or Cellic is in danger.

Hobbies
Mapping
Being the daughter of a pilot, Marlo has been on many trips at a very young age. She grew to have a
keen sense of adventure and hopes one day to venture to unexplored land. Her father has a wide
variety of maps from different areas, and Marlo loves to spend her time looking though each and every
one of them- reading and studying each one until they’ve begun to wrinkle from wear. She’s went on to make
some of her very own maps, and shares her hobby with Nonsurat. They spend their free time mapping
Kalmari Town, and hopes one day to map less explored areas when they grow older.

Bio
Marlo is an adventurous, outgoing Squishy who one day wants to be like her father
and fly the skies above in her very own plane. For now, she happily helps her mom in
their family candy store until she’s old enough to get her pilots license. She befriended
a Puffball named Nonsurat while walking back home one day, so most of her free time is
spending time with her new friend, as well as getting herself into random shenanigans
after having the pleasure of meeting Nonsurat's other friends.
Leaving Kalmari Arc
To get her pilot's license, Marlo had to travel to another area far away from Kalmari Town,
and informed her friends that she wouldn’t be back for around a year or so. With a heavy heart,
she bid farewell to everyone, but more importantly to Nonsurat. She knew he was heartbroken
from the news, but reassured him that she will one day return, AND with her new plane to boot.
She wishes him well since she knows he’ll be leaving for the GSA soon, and she won’t be there
to say goodbye.
GSA Arc
Marlo not only got her license, but she became a pilot for the GSA! It was temporary, but she
enjoyed every minute of delivering cargo to all the different areas she was assigned to. One day,
she ended up bumping into Nonsurat during the recruitment of new members.
Of course, both were shocked when they saw each other. Marlo couldn't believe the shy, little
Puffball became a strong, well-armed Star Warrior. As for Nonsurat...well, he couldn't really say
anything because he started to cry when he realized it was really Marlo standing in front of him.
Marlo started giggling at his same ol', childish response and embraced her childhood friend-
glad he still had his sweet, caring personality.
Marlo decided to extend her stay after being part of Nonsurat’s squad, and over the years
they've become quite close just like their Kalmari days. Nonsurat was very protective over
her and would usually escort her if she were to travel to enemy territory. The need to
constantly protect her throughout each grueling mission made Nonsurat realize that
the reason he's doing such a thing on his own accord is because he deeply cares for
her. He couldn't bear the thought of losing her, his childhood sweetheart, in the
midst of war.
Unfortunately, Nonsurat's worse nightmare became a reality one day. He was informed
that a lone plane was shot down during a delivery mission, and that Marlo was one of
the pilots navigating it. Nonsurat was absolutely furious that he was not told beforehand
that Marlo was one of the members who would be making the delivery. Arthur, who was
currently in charge of sending out missions, tried to calm his frantic friend upon hearing
the news. He refused to listen and stormed out of the room; collapsing in distraught
shortly after in one of the hallways.
A few days passed after the tragic news, and the other 3 warriors were starting to
get worried about Nonsurat. He's become very quiet and keeps to himself most of
the time. Arthur suggested leaving him alone for the time being, seeing as there was
nothing they could say or do to make him feel better. All three agreed and left Nonsurat
to grieve alone. (At this point in the series, Dragato already left with Cite. Arthur, Meta and
Falspar remained.)
A week passed and Nonsurat received some very unexpected news from Meta. He informed
Nonsurat about the aftermath of the crash, and that Marlo were one of the few who survived
the impact. Meta then told him that she was sent to a hospital in critical condition a few days
back, and the doctors were trying to get a hold of him. Nonsurat quickly left and made his way
to the hospital, not caring about anything else but the well-being of his partner.
At the hospital, Nonsurat waited hours for news on her condition. Midnight struck when a
doctor finally appeared to give him her diagnosis. He was informed that she would make
make a full recovery, but it would take many months for her to completely heal from her
injuries. Nonsurat took a leave of absence and stayed by her side until she would fully recover.
During that time, Nonsurat eventually confessed his feelings to her. She gladly returned his
affection, and both became a loving couple by the end of her hospital stay.
Both Nonsurat and Marlo resigned from their duties of war and settled down in their
childhood hometown of Kalmari. They eventually got married not too long after, and
planned to start a family in the near future.
Grieving Arc
During her pregnancy, Marlo was attacked by a Demon Beast, which unfortunately caused her
to miscarriage. The sudden loss of their child was a very low point in Marlo’s life. She became
depressed over the past several months after being released from the hospital, and refused to leave
her home. She quit working, stopped talking to her family and friends, and spent most of time in bed
grieving. Nonsurat continued to comfort and be there for her, but because she stopped working, he
had to leave her at times to manage both their shifts. Unfortunately, their business started to decline
because of it, and both debated selling her plane as a result.
The old, but familiar sound of her plane being worked on one afternoon caused Marlo leave her
room to seek out who was causing it. She hasn’t heard the sound of tinkering in their workshop in
a long while, so she was curious to know if Nonsurat really went through with selling it. To her
surprise, she saw him and Bate working and repairing it- though they had to stop since Bate
ended up accidentally injuring himself.
Not having engaged in conversation since the incident, it was strange for Marlo to finally talk
to another again. She cleaned and wrapped Bate’s wound, and curiously wondered why he
was with Nonsurat. When she learned he was trying to help fix the plane so he could help
her and Nonsurat with their business, something caused her to finally take the small, but
very important steps to move forward. She asked them if she could join them, which
Nonsurat tearfully agreed. All three worked and repaired the old plane until it was finally
in workable condition again. She embraced Nonsurat, thanking him and Bate for watching
over things while she was away. Although it still hurt, she stated to the pair that she’s
ready to start working again, and that she’ll be okay.
Cellic Arc
Marlo and Nonsurat decided to do a quick test run of the plane several days later, and asked Bate
if he could tag along if something were to go wrong. Much to everyone’s relief, the plane worked
flawlessly; being able to fly to many of the surrounding towns in West Nova. The trio then took a
lunch break in one of the further towns, and set up their small picnic near a rather large
lake- Cellic’s Lake.
The trio enjoyed their lunch, relaxed for a bit, and even swung on several tree branches lining the
lake. (Only Nonsurat, that is.) While swinging, the branch he was holding snapped, and Nonsurat
plunged into the lake below. Marlo quickly went into the water to fetch out his foolish husband,
and ended up diving back in when one of his pauldrons sunk to the very bottom. Being a
Squishy, Marlo had no problem fetching it out of the lake. Once she grabbed it, however,
something underneath it quickly caught her attention, and she swam to the surface as fast
as she could to tell the others.
Marlo frantically told the pair she saw what seemed to be a Gordo stuck at the bottom
of the lake. Nonsurat, who lost his mentor not too long ago, quickly dived in, and resurfaced
moments later with a very tiny Gordo clutched in his grasp. All three couldn’t believe what they
were seeing. Gordos are considered rare around these parts, so it was quite shocking one would be
here of all places. The trio questioned the unnamed Gordo, asking what he was doing down there,
and how long he’s been stuck like that.
The Gordo informed them that he fell out of plane several years back, and he's been stuck in
the lake ever since. Being much small than Gordon, everyone came to the conclusion that he
was still a baby, so abandoning him or sending him back to Central Crux would be a terrible thing
to do. Bate, whose late friend was a Gordo, asked if he would like to come back to Kalmari Town
with him; which he agreed since he had no where else to go. During this time, he also decided
to give him a name- Cellic. (Based off the lake he was found in.)
Nonsurat eagerly offered taking the child under his wing but Marlo, who only just started to move on
from her loss, hesitated from his idea. Bate and Nonsurat picked up on it, and Bate offered to head back
to Kalmari town with Cellic while the two talked it over. Once they left, Marlo confessed that she wasn’t sure
she was ready to adopt a child just yet. She told him she’s terrified of the thought of not being able to protect
him if there was another stray Demon Beast attack; saying she isn’t strong enough to handle another loss in her
life. Nonurat apologizes for rushing into it so suddenly without taking her feelings into consideration. He comforts
the Squishy, and admits he is also terrified of the idea something like that happening again, but told her that
something inside him instantly clicked when he heard the child say had no where else to go. He wasn’t sure why,
maybe it was because of Gordon, but he knew it was his job to raise this child.
He tells Marlo maybe this child could be the one who can help them recover and take the steps needed
to finally move on. He knows he’s asking a lot from her, but reassures Marlo he will be supportive no
matter what she decides. Marlo thanks him, but doesn’t give her answer just yet as she’s still torn from it.
The Adoption
With her decision still undecided, Cellic was currently placed in the protective care of Bate. Nonsurat
would visit often, as well as Bate bringing him over so he could get to know them. Marlo would watch
from afar; part of her wanting to interact with them, but her fears quickly prevents her from doing
so. She could see how happy Nonsurat was anytime he paid a visit, and part of her feels guilty for
being the one standing in-between that.
During one evening, Marlo finally introduces herself to the young Gordo. Nonsurat was currently
showing him all the maps he and Marlo used to make as kids, and she soon joined in to share
their stories to him. Hearing all of their adventures fascinated Cellic, and he wanted to know
more about the world outside the lake he lived in for the past several years. Much to Nonsurat’s
surprise, Marlo offered showing him some of her favorite places in Kalmari, as well as her mother’s
candy shop they run since Bate informed them, he has a huge sweet tooth. Bate was later informed
late in the evening that Cellic would be staying at their home for a few days, much to his delight.
It didn’t take long for Marlo to feel a parental connection towards Cellic after several days. Like
Nonsurat, Marlo believed this child could be the one to help her move on, and love again. She
wasn’t sure how Cellic would feel about it, though, so she didn't bring it up just yet. It wasn’t
until several weeks later did she mention it once Cellic asked her. After seeing a group of kids
and their parents playing at the park, he curiously asked who they were. Being created, Cellic
didn’t have a mother or a father, so he wasn't sure what to make of it. Once Marlo explained
who, and what they were, Cellic, not knowing the significance of it, happily asked if she could
be his mom.
Nonsurat was greeted by the pair not long after; falling back once Cellic tackled him to the
floor and exclaiming he’s his new son. Nonsurat looked up at Marlo, which she gave a
tearful nod. The warrior bolted up in sheer excitement before hugging his wife and son.

Personality
There’s never a dull day when you’re in the presence of Marlo. With her carefree, sometimes reckless
personality, Marlo loves to join in on any adventure with her friends. She isn’t afraid to take on any
danger, despite being a Squishy; Nonsurat usually has to drag her away at times when he deems
something too dangerous. Marlo is very loyal to her group of friends, and will always be there to
lend a hand if needed. Although she has a wild personality, she’s able to tone down her behavior
if one of her friends need a shoulder to cry on. She’s a good listener, and while her advice isn’t on
par with Gordon or Bate, she’ll do everything she can to help.
Time Skip
Marlo still hasn’t lost her adventurous air for exploration, but she has calmed down
significantly as she grew older. She isn’t as reckless like before, and prefers to have Nonsurat
by her side during deliveries due to being attacked by Demon Beasts several times in the past.
After the adoption of Cellic, Marlo’s parental side started to shine while she set aside her
adventurous nature. While her younger years had its moments, Marlo knows her main
priority now is making sure her family is happy and safe. She’s adopted a kind, gentler air
while raising Cellic, but would occasionally show her boisterous side from time to time.
While still haunted by Demon Beasts, Marlo will risk her life for Cellic and do everything
in her power to protect him.

Relationship
Nonsurat
One of Marlo’s best friends, she loves to spend all her time with the small Puff whenever she has the chance.
Both of them love to play on the swings- specifically the lone swing on top of the hill that oversees the ocean.
Both dream of flying one day, so some days are filled with thinking of ways to achieve that goal without the
use of a plane. She sees Nonsurat as someone very special, and hopes one day they can still maintain
their friendship as they grow older....which *Spoiler alert* they do!!!
Marlo and Nonsurat end up getting married in the future, and settled down in Kalmari Town. She loves
Nonsurat with all her heart, and vice versa. Although she isn't as nearly as powerful as him, she's still
willing to stick up, and defend him if he were in trouble; which is rare since Nonsurat truly is a force to
be reckoned with.

Gordon
Being the teacher, and now father, of Nonsuat, Gordon will always tag along and supervise the pair when
they want to travel further to fill out their maps. Marlo’s heard many stories of Gordon thanks to Nonsurat,
so she admires him just as much as the small Puff. She claims to Nonsurat that he’s the strongest and coolest
teacher there is, and always enjoys having him around on their adventures. He also buys them lots of treats
from time to time as well, so that’s a plus in her book too!
As a toddler, Marlo would occasionally see Gordon in her mother's shop purchasing sweets
for Bate. They've met only an handful of times, but Marlo thought he was really cool looking since
she's never seen a Gordo before.

The death of Gordon took everyone by surprise. Marlo was informed much later in the
day as she wasn’t in the area where it happened. She couldn’t believe it at first- she knows
how powerful and strong he is, but after confronting Nonsurat about it, she embraced
the warrior and cried as well. Each year, Marlo will place flowers on his grave during his Birthday,
and before the end of the year to in honor of his sacrifice. She vows to watch over Nonsurat,
and be there for him until the day they meet again.

Cellic
Cellic is seen as Marlo’s life and joy. She will do everything to make sure her son is happy, healthy and safe.
While not too overly protective, her protective instincts will show at times if she feels like whatever he’s doing
will put him in harms way. Having a Gordo as a son causes heads to turn occasionally, but Marlo could care
less what others think about it, and will fight anyone who heckles her son about it. Marlo will continue
to do everything she can to be the best mother there is for him.
