(Gordon / Elliot)
It was bad enough the love of his life was suddenly swept away and taken by some....freak! But now he has to live with the fact that said freak's best friend was interested in his sister?!!!! No. There was absolutely no way he was going to allow anyone to see his sister. Even if he was much younger than her, it was his job as her brother to protect her. He made sure to let everyone know, especially if it was an outsider, that they would have to go through him before getting to her.
He promised himself…..
He promised he wouldn’t fail like last time.

Elliot would say he’d be surprised when he saw a certain Gordo when he opened the her sister’s door, but….
“H-hey, is Alba home?” Gordon said, slightly fiddling with the flowers in his hand.
He’d be lying.
The Squishy glared at the floating figure in front of him. When he eyed the flowers in his hand, a small, angry blush formed on his cheeks.
“And what do you think you’re going to do with those?” He asked, pointing to the bushel of colorful roses. Of course he knew, and just the mere thought of it was getting his temper to rise.
“They’re for your sister.” He smiled, “Do you think she’ll like them?”
Elliot’s fin twitched in anger from the mention of Alba, and he furiously swiped the bouquet from his hands. With eyes full of rage, he shouted at the now shocked Gordo. “No, I don’t think she’ll ‘like’ them,” He snapped back, “Get out of here and leave my sister alone! Haven’t you and that winged idiot ruined our lives enough?!”
Gordon just stared and the Squid from the sudden reaction. He knew Elliot wasn’t fond of him and Bate for staying in Kalmari, but assumed after a few months of getting to know them, he’d eventually mellow out. Gordon looked at the flowers scattered on the floor and summoned all of his hands to pick them up before the hostile Squid decided to step on them.
"I’m not going to hurt you, y’know.” Gordon said when he saw Eliot inch back when he summoned his other 8 appendages.
When he didn’t get a response back, Gordon just focused on rearranging all the roses so they’d be somewhat nice when he presented them Alba. With a less than amused voice once he was done, Gordon asked again,
“Is Alba here or not?” He said, trying not to get agitated from Elliot's crude behavior.
“She is, but like I said.....” He gripped the door and began to slam it, “Leave. my. sister. alone.”
Gordon, having a much more stronger build and reflexes than Elliot quickly stopped the door before it slammed and pushed his way in. He glared at the squid from his unwelcoming demeanor and lowered himself to lock eyes with him.
“I don’t know what your deal is, but I don’t take kindly to others treating me with such disrespect.”
Typically when it came to Bate or Gordon Elliot would cower and back away whenever he angered them, but Gordon noticed he wasn’t backing down. The squid glared back and jabbed one of his spikes with his hand.
“Don’t act like I don’t know what your intentions are.” He said, pointing to the flowers, “I see how you look at my sister. You honestly think I’m going to allow her to go out with someone like you?”
“Someone like me?” His eyes narrowed from his response, “You don’t even know anything about me.”
“I know enough.” He bit back, “You, on the other hand, know nothing about her! You think you could just waltz in here and play this…this stupid romantic act to get Alba to like you? She may not see it, but I do. You don’t fool me for a second.”
“Fool you? I’m not trying to hide anything!” He snapped back as well. “She’s the only one who was nice enough to take me in when Bate was in the hospital. She doesn’t see me like everyone else in this town does! Maybe you don’t agree with my feelings towards her, but I don’t expect you too! You’re not Alba.”
“I may not be her, but I know my sister well enough to know that all of this is a mistake.” He said, voice now trembling but still containing much anger, “I already know how it’s going to end.”
Gordon blinked a bit and quirked his brow when he said that, “H-huh? What do you mean by that?" He asked, not liking his assumption towards him.
The Squid turned away, and after much silence between them, mumbled something that caused a small shiver to run through the Gordo's spike.
“I’m....not going to be the shoulder she cries on when you end up hurting her.”
“H-hurt her….?” He stuttered.
"I promised myself…..I promised I wouldn’t ever let that happen again....."
Gordon was silent. Was…that the reason he’s been so hostile and protective over her whenever they’d spend time together?
“Elliot....” Gordon softly gave a sigh and looked at the bouquet he bought. “Did….he buy her flowers too?”
“All the time.....even after the fact.” He distastefully spoke.
He promised himself…..
He promised he wouldn’t fail like last time.
