Looks like got a little bit of everything in this page! We find out that Shieff is in fact the one who killed Atler. If you read Chapter 7, you'd know Bate found him in the Kalmari Forest dead. It wasn't explain who was responsible for it until today. And yes- Atler was the one who caused the large crack in his armor! And double yes- Atler was able to knock his armor off of his face. At that point Atler already lost his glasses, so he couldn't get a good look at him.
And lastly--!! The last panel!!! While Shieff was chatting to Bate, Gordon used his specter hands to grab Bullet! Out of everyone, Gordon is FURIOUS that his student is in danger. What's going to happen next?!!!
