The tiny Puffball crossed his arms and turned away from his teacher. "That's different."

"Well, it...ummmm...." He paused for a moment before giving Bate a very poor excuse of an answer. "It...it just is, okay?!"
"Fine..." Bate shrugged. "Whatever you say....Meta."
"W-wait!" Meta frowned. "I didn't say you had to call me that, though...."
"So, you're saying you don't want me to call you by your name?"
"I, ummm...."
Bate smirked under his mask. "Quit being so picky about it, Gumball."
