I've talked about it several times in the past how I see Star Warriors as a dying race. They're extremely rare in my series. In fact, Bate hasn't had contact with another Star Warrior or Guardian for over 50 years. Was he thought to be the last one? When Atka presented him with five small Warp Stars, there was a spark of hope. 5 baby Star Warriors? It was something the pair never encountered before.
Having a new generation of Star Warriors couldn't help but make the old Warrior Smile. With everything he's been through up to this point, maybe being their protector in the shadows can help him move on from his past. Only time will tell. x)
