-Flashback-

"Moooooom!!!" A shrill voice echoed through the cave. "Mom, wake up!! I have something for you!!!"

A bright, gold colored Bird opened her eyes and smiled when she spotted her eldest son running towards her. "Yes, my dear Bate, what is it?"

The tiny Puffball giggled and hid his hands behind his back. "I got a present for you!"

"Oh?" She bent down and nuzzled her son. "A present?"

Bate held out his hands and presented his mother with a small, poorly wrapped gift. "Happy Mother's Day!!"

"Aw, Bate." She gingerly picked up the gift and kissed her son on the head. "You didn't need to get me anything."

"I know...." He looked up and smiled at her. "But you're my mom, and even moms deserve presents once in a while."

-The Present-

Bate lifted his mask to wipe the tears dripping down his face. He faced a small tombstone perched on top of a hill in between two plum trees. "M-mom." He softly spoke.

Bate placed the flowers he bought next to the tombstone and sat across from it.

"Happy Mother's Day."
