“Kirby”
The stern voice of his mentor caused the little warrior to freeze in place. He made sure to be as quiet as possible, and yet he is still able to sense him. Wings lowered, Kirby sadly turned around and faced Meta who is in the living room. The elder used his finger to motioned him over, his expression as one would expect when certain rules were broken.
“I, ummmm….” Kirby stuttered when he finally reached him. “I..just….I thought….”
“I already told you to stay in the living room until he wakes. He had a long flight, and I promise he’ll play with you once he’s up.”
“But he’s been sleeping the whole day.” He spoke, giving a small pout. He’s been looking forward to this day for months. He’s planned a whole list of things to do when his Grandfather arrived, but once he and Meta walked in the house, he ended up falling asleep! He tried to sneak in his room to wake him, but Meta or Kes would always intervene when he does. It’s been almost 10 hours since his arrival, and he still isn’t up!!!
“Your Grandfather never liked flights…unless he’s the one doing the flying.” Kes gave a small chuckle and picked up the huffy child and placed on her lap. Lightly patting his head, she offered a slight smile back. “But he knows how much you wanted him to visit Pop Star, so he set aside his distaste for planes so he can see you. Just give it some time and you’ll be able to play with him in no time."
“O..okay…” He spoke, finally giving up.
