-Fathers and Daughter-
(Pyrell / Falspar / Tula)
I must say, I was quite surprised when I received notification that you were looking to adopt this particular species.
"Oh, ummm....." Falspar quirked a brow from her unsusal statment. "And why is that....?"
"Well..." Her voice started to trail off, and she turned around to face the pair. "Putting it lightly, they are...quite a handful."
"Shouldn't that apply to all kids in general?" Pyrell pointed out. Nova knows he was quite rambuncios when Bero raised him. A Sasuke should be no different.
"You will see a drastic difference, Sir Pyrell, I assure you." She spoke and contined to lead them to the room where they kept her. "She has been to many homes in the past, but as you can see, she has been sent back each and every time. We cartakers tend to be stricter as a result seeing as her spirit is quite broken from being….unwanted."
"That's unfortunate…." Falspar softly replied and glanced at Pyrell once she said that.
"This is why we would be suitable parents. We would never dream of doing that." Pyrell spoke, giving a warm smile back at Falspar. “ We’ve waited for this moment for a very long time, and we will be sure to give her the love and attention she requires."
"You're words would lift up the spritit of any orphan, Sir Pyrell, but..." She stopped infront of the door to the room she was occupying. Turning the handle, she quietly pushed it open to allowed them in, "She's heard those words plenty of times in the past. It will have little meaning to her."
With her final words, the pair walked into the small room and saw the figure sitting at the edge of the bed with her back facing them. She did not move nor acknowledge when the three walked in, so the pair looked at the caretaker seeing as they didn’t really know what to do. She gave a silent nod and walked forward to the child.
“Tula,” She spoke, taking a few steps closer to the point where she was able to place a hand on her back. She pointed to the two and hoped she’d take interest. “There’s a very nice couple here to meet you. Would you like to see them?”
Falspar and Pyrell waited for her answer, but to their surprise….she shook her head. Falspar slightly took a step back in shock.
She didn’t want to be adopted…?
He gave a troubling glance at Pyrell, but the Leo was just as stunned. The Caretaker took notice, and decided that maybe having Tula see the pair would help encourage her.
“Well, they traveled quite far to get here. I’m sure it’ll be nice if you at least see them, hm?” She gently picked up the figure and carried her to the pair. Falspar watched as she silently stood in front of them. She did not speak a word, nor looked up to greet them. As much as Falspar wanted to say something…he couldn’t. He didn’t expect the child’s spirit to be this damaged to the point where she’s rather stay at an orphanage than be adopted. He didn’t know how to react to such a thing, so he kept still and didn’t speak a word in fear of scaring her.
From his side, Pyrell could see his husband starting to tense up. Then again, he couldn’t blame him. He, too, felt uneasy about this whole ordeal. How would he even be able to begin to heal such a fragile, broken soul? She’s been through so much at such a young age. Pyrell’s heart ached as he’s been through the same thing and remembered how bitter and angry he’s become because of it. Of course, he had Drani as a companion to help coax the pain of loneliness and abandonment, but….Tula was all alone.
No Guardian, no friends, no one to trust or to lean on…..
He knew he had to do something to help, no child should ever feel unwanted.
Falspar looked up when Pyrell began to walk forward. He silently watched as the Leo kneeled down so he could get a better look at her. She eventually looked up, and with frightened, eyes meeting Pyrell’s, the old Star Warrior
