Search for the Pacto Snapper
Arthur /Petta / Marlo / Nonsurat
"C'mon, Arty!" Petta happily cheered as she followed the trail out of Kalmari Town. "I'm sure we'll be able to find one by the end of the day."
"You said they were rare to find in West Nova." Arthur spoke. "Are you sure there's really going to be one when we arrive?"
Spinning around, Petta smiled at her friend and gave a nod. "Absolutely! I've been studying everything about it, and I'm positive a Pacto Snapper will be there! So let's-!"
“Pacto Snapper?” A voice interrupted the Leo, and Arthur flinched when he saw Marlo and Nonsurat walking towards them.
“Oh- I think I heard of them before!” Marlo waved her hand to get Nonsurats attention. “It’s a pretty cool looking plant that snaps if you put your hand near it! I believe it's named after the demon beast, Pacto.
“That....actually sounds kinda neat,” Nonsurat said and looked at Petta. "Do you have one?"
Petta shook her. “Not yet, but…” She patted Arthur’s back and smiled at the pair, “Arty and I are gonna find one!”
“Really?!!!” Marlo excitedly shook Nonsurat as she wanted to go too, “Can we join you guys? Can we, can we, can we pleaaaase?!!! I always wanted to own a Pacto Snapper!”
“Of course! The more the merrier, right Arty?” Petta cheered when more wanted to join them on their adventure. Arthur, however wasn’t too fond of the idea. He walked past Petta and forcefully grabbed Nonsurat to privately talk to him,
“What in sweet Nova do you think you're doing?!” He angrily barked,
“….Going Pacto Snapper hunting?”
Arthur just slapped his forehead, “I mean you just barging in and inviting yourself!”
“B-but she said the more the merrier. Why, did you not want us to come along…?” He slightly frowned from his hostile behavior,
“N-no…it’s not that!” He quickly waved his hands, and tried to think of an excuse, “Just…I thought it would be a bit dangerous for Marlo. I mean...”
Arthur pointed to the Leo now happily chatting with Marlo, “Petta has her fire, I have my wings and you have your weapons. What would she have if we’re in danger?”
He watched as Nonsurat dwell on his question before simply shrugging and heading back to the Squishly, “She’s Marlo, nothing ever seems to hurt her.”
That...wasn’t the answer he was hoping to hear.
Arthur distastefully lowered his wings and mumbled to himself while following the three from behind. His chance of finally being able to showoff his ‘awesome’ Star Warrior skills, look cool and receive more praise would have to wait this time around.
“Hey, Arthur,” Nonsurat softly spoke as they were following Petta to the location, “Do you think we’ll be safe? How dangerous is this Pacto Snapper?”
“It’s just a plant, not a real Pacto, Nonsurat. Seriously, how scary can it be?”

Illustration and a little one-shot. I thought it would be cute to create plants based off the enemies of Kirby instead of real ones. Though obviously Pacto Snapper is inspired by the Venus Fly Trap. <33
