Some were curious to know in the AU I posted who Bate fell in love with. Soooo, here she is. ;u;
Starla is a doctor who recently moved to Kalmari after Mends decided to retire. She and Bate get along quite well since they see each other often in the hospital....though she can be a bit strict and bossy to him from time to time. Gordon was the one who found out she had a small crush on Bate. He told her that he was previously married, and that his wife died when they were still young. Her heart was crushed when Gordon told her he'd probably never love another. Skipping ahead to Ramset- Ah, Ram didn't like her at first. He told her that Bate would never love her, and she's setting herself up to fail. I'll spare you the rest, but that's a very small portion of it. c: (From Gordon and Ram's view, at lease.)
