Weapons of a Frozen Leo
A neat fact about Frozen Leos is their vast skill set in weaponry. Many Leos in the village are born hunters. They will go out in packs and won't come back until they successfully brought home a kill. Depending on what creature they hunt, a Frozen Leo will often change their weapon to suit the task. They're able to form razor sharp blades from ice and wield them using a bone or ivory hilt they carved. They're also able to to make bows once they've made a grip for it. As for the arrows, there are two types: One is made out of pure ice, while the other uses an ivory shaft with ice made fletchings and point.
When a Leo is determined to be a hunter, they will first learn how to use a bow. They will be taught how to make one out of ice (as well as arrows), and how to successfully aim and shoot. Once mastered, they will be brought along during a group hunt to watch and learn from their superiors. The Leo will then go on to learn about other various weapons depending on what they want to learn first. Many Leos prefer a certain weapon among others, so the trainee is free to ask for advice to those who have mastered that particular weapon.
A Leo MUST learn the basics of each weapon in their village before choosing one they feel comfortable with. Once decided, they will now be part of a hunting squad. If the Leo is skilled enough and brings back many meals for the village, they will be tested to be a pack leader. A daunting test, they must journey with a small group of Leos and successfully lead a group hunt. If the group deems the Leo led the pack correctly and orderly, they will take on the responsibility of a leader. They are also gifted with a hand carved mask and various armor from the bones of the creature they killed.
